What is an Emochain?

An Emochain is a physical support – a painting, a sculpture, or another form – that embodies a coded emotion and the system that created it. Through structured protocols, I produce emotions such as Anger, Love, or Sleep. My Cell-ion machine encodes them into Vibrances, digital signals capturing their intensity. These Vibrances are integrated into the Emochain via an RFID chip, which carries the emotion, its precise moment, and its protocol. Each Emochain is a fragment of my Vibrance system, freeing the world from emotions dulled by algorithms for a more vibrant world.

Philosophy of Emochains

I consider information to be the fifth state of matter, each particle carrying a story. The vibrances that make up emochains translate this idea into a **phygital** material: an emotion captured digitally, timestamped in Unix time, and stored in a blockchain, linked to a physical artwork. Each vibrance is a building block of creation, a medium for my paintings, reconnecting humanity to its capacity to feel and transform the world.

Creation Process

The creation of an emochain begins with the production of a vibrance, an emotion derived from a unique protocol defined in the Vibrance System. For example, running around the Santé prison produces health, while feeding the Lion of Belfort generates courage. These gestures, triggered by participants through “poetic clicks” on vibrance.systems, break algorithmic routines and unleash emotions.

Each emotion is captured at a precise moment, encoded in binary, and managed by Cell-ion, a machine that decodes these vibrances into luminous flashes. The vibrance is then integrated into an RFID chip, which links the emotion to the painted aluminum plate.

From Emotion to Artwork

Each vibrance is visualized as a vibrating circle, containing a video of the moment the emotion was produced. For example, a vibrance of love, stemming from a poetic click like “Crypto Prayer,” may be represented by a three-dimensional spinning star. This artistic interpretation, hand-painted on aluminum, integrates the emotion encoded in the RFID chip. Each vibrance is unique, crafted with care to preserve the purity of the emotion.

Capturing a Physical Emotion

When a poetic click is activated, I produce the corresponding emotion by following a precise protocol. For example, for anger, I throw a cobblestone into a pond, capturing my electromagnetic radiation at that moment via an electronic chip. This chip, connected by radio frequency to the emochain, embeds the emotion in a blockchain, creating a phygital material. This process makes each emochain alive, carrying an authentic human emotion.

From Emochain to Painting

Vibrances are my palette of emotions. Like a painter uses colors, I use vibrances to create my artworks. Aluminum, chosen for its purity, serves as the canvas for my paintings, which translate the emotion encoded in the RFID chip. Each artwork is a visual representation of information and emotion, a dialogue between the tangible and the intangible, designed to re-enchant the world.

From Idea to Emochain

In 2012, I created **Linternet**, an electronic object connected to reality. In 2016, **Cell-ion**, an AI presented at the Cité des Sciences, calculated “destiny.” In 2021, I launched the first beta emochain, solving the challenge of linking a physical object to a digital emotion. Each emochain is a milestone in my quest to reintroduce poetry into the world.

Captured Emotions

Each emochain is linked to one of 33 emotions, such as love or wonder, produced through a poetic protocol and captured in an RFID chip. These vibrances, stored in an emotion bank managed by **Cell-ion**, are connected by radio frequency to the artwork, making each emochain unique and vibrant.

A Unique Seal

Each emochain bears an engraved seal, the imprint of the person who triggered the emotion through a poetic click. This seal guarantees the authenticity of the emotion and anchors the artwork in a human story.

Timestamped Emotion

The date and time of the emotion’s capture are engraved on the emochain. The RFID chip, containing the physical emotion, can be stored in a vault like a treasure, while the artwork remains connected to the blockchain.

Emotion in the Blockchain

A QR code on the emochain points to its location in the blockchain, linking the physical object to its digital emotion. This connection makes the emochain autonomous and authentic, a unique poetic artifact.

A Reserve of Emotions

Emotions are more precious than gold. Each emochain is backed by a vibrance stored in an electronic chip, preserved as an emotion reserve. This bank, managed by **Cell-ion**, ensures that every artwork carries an authentic emotion.
